A Blyth community centre has been rewarded for its work with young people.

The Isabella Community Centre was presented with the Ambition Quality Bronze Award by Gemma Lockey, from Northumberland Clubs for Young People (NCYP) in recognition of its work with young people.

Centre Manager Lesley Jenkinson said: “It seemed like a daunting process when first looking at the folder of all the different criteria we had to go through but, the amazing support from Gemma NCYP and the end pass result made it all worthwhile.”

The Isabella Centre offers a wide range of activities to young people in the youth clubs and karate sessions which are available two evenings a week.
