A Cramlington brownie unit is celerbating 21 years of meeting at one of the town’s primary schools.
The 1st Cramlington Brownie Unit has met at Northburn Primary School in Cramlington for the past 21 years.
And to mark the occasion parents were invited to ‘Become a Brownie for the night’ and they took part in team challenges with their daughters.
Sarah Atkinson, mum of Beth, said: “It was great fun, everyone really enjoyed the games and encouraged each other.”
Brownie Rebecca Maugham, who was also celebrating her birthday on the same day, did the honours of cutting the cake.
Unit guider Allison Graydon said: “Our unit is actually over 50-years-old and we were all thrilled to celebrate the last 21 years at our current venue.
“It was lovely that all the parents were able to join us and for some to experience Brownies for the first time and others to relive happy times they had spent as a Brownie.”
Girlguiding gives girls and young women their own space to have fun, be themselves, build friendships and gain skills.
