A Northumberland-based accountancy practice has overhauled its operating systems with a £30,000 IT investment.
Ashington-based Peter Weldon & Co, who has recently opened an additional office in Morpeth, has hired Newcastle-based IT specialists, EastQuayIT to install a suite of new hardware and software solutions.
Partner at Peter Weldon & Co, David Hunter, said: “Our team is now across two sites and we also have members of staff working closely with an increasing number of clients outside of the north east.
“This is all being done to complement the growth we’re experiencing and will offer us a further edge in what is a highly competitive market in the north east.
“We’re thrilled to be working with EastQuayIT who have helped to map our expansion with contemporary IT solutions.
“The short and long term solutions EastQuayIT has provided are already showing huge benefits to the way we work.”
Improvements include installing an efficient new server system and high-speed broadband connectivity.
EastQuayIT has also upgraded Peter Weldon’s IT security, which will enable staff to safely access confidential client information and take advantage of newly installed taxation software.
