A new team manager is aiming to help build stronger links with northern Europe.

Michail Tzouvelekis has been appointed as regional segment manager, oil and gas for the Europe North region at safety and medical technology company Dräger.

He will be working closely with the sales and marketing teams in the UK – including Blyth – plus the Netherlands, Norway and Denmark.

Prior to joining Dräger, he held senior positions at various prominent oil and gas players, and brings a wealth of marketing and business development experience to the role.

Michail said: “I feel very excited to have joined Dräger, a family owned company with a 125-year history of innovation and a great brand.

“Most people know Dräger, or at least they think they do.

“They know they can buy or rent the best gas detectors or breathing apparatus sets from us.

“Very few people are aware that we also provide training, and not just on how to use our own products; we are an OPITO-approved centre for Authorised Gas Testing and H2S training, for instance.”

“Our company’s mission is to offer technology for life. It’s about making sure everyone comes home safely to their loved ones. That is something I am passionate about.”
