A CRAMLINGTON beauty therapist has joined JK Property Consultants as an administrative apprentice.
April Archbold has joined the firm from Newcastle College, leaving behind her career as a beauty therapist to develop her business admin skills and learn all about the commercial property industry.
The 25-year-old has joined JK Property Consultants at a time of growth, as the team has already doubled in size over the last six months and further expansion is expected over the coming year.
Each Newcastle College apprenticeship involves a structured programme of training leading to a recognised qualification. The training is available at different levels so people can choose at which speed they would like to learn.
April said: “I was looking for a new challenge and applied to the Newcastle College apprenticeship scheme. At the time, JK Property Consultants were looking for admin support through the scheme, which seemed an ideal starting point for my new career.
“The team have been very supportive and I’ve never looked back. It’s a fast paced role and there are lots of opportunities for development, which I’m looking forward to taking up.”
Kevan Carrick, principal at JK Property Consultants, added: “The business is at a pivotal point in its growth and April’s appointment is a key one in ensuring we continue to work efficiently while keeping our clients’ needs at the heart of everything we do. “It’s great to have her on board and to have found appropriate support through Newcastle College’s apprenticeship programme, which is playing a vital role for those wishing to train and find employment at the same time.”
