A Northumberland-based biomass boiler installation company has been shortlisted for a national industry award.
The Wood Heating Company has been revealed as one of the companies in the running to win the Biomass Installer of the Year category at the Energy Efficiency and Renewables Awards 2014.
Earlier this year the firm was named Rural Heating Installer of the Year at the Heating and Ventilation News Awards in London.
The company, based in Cramlington, has more than 30 years’ experience and is one of the longest-standing installers of biomass systems in the UK.
The company became one of just four companies on the final shortlist and were then invited to meet the judging panel in London to face a series of questions about the business and how it was having a positive impact on the industry.
The company has a biomass heritage stretching back over 30 years and was recently named Rural Installer of the year at the Heating and Ventilating News Awards.
Simon Cross, commercial director at The Wood Heating Company, said: “It’s brilliant news that The Wood Heating Company has been shortlisted for such a prestigious award.
“We work hard to deliver the very best in customer service and provide well designed, efficient and cost-effective installations.
“To have this acknowledged by key industry figures is testament to the effort and skills of our fantastic team at The Wood Heating Company.”
The awards, hosted by the publication Renewable Energy Installer, aim to recognise outstanding installers and companies in the renewable energy sector.
The winners will be announced during an awards ceremony on Friday, September 26.
