An entrepreneur has successfully launched a unique catering company specialising in bespoke confectionary carts.
Kartalicious Kandy was setup by Kerri Bassom with support from the Business Northumberland initiative, with a new website featuring a portfolio of its services and information on how to order recently launched.
Creating bespoke carts, tailored to any theme, the company is able to cater for anything from weddings to baby showers and corporate events.
Based in Ashington, Kerri has set the business up from home and intends to use her e-commerce website and social media channels to market her company and take bookings.
Kerri said: “I am delighted with the progress made by Kartalicious Kandy, I’ve been looking to start a business for a long time now.
“Business Northumberland have been excellent in helping me start-up, guiding me through all of the stages from generating the business idea to setting up my website and beginning to trade.”
The Kartalicious cart was created specifically for Kerri and can be decorated with a variety of designs to match any venue or theme of event.
The company has already had a lot of interest in its services through its social media advertisements and interest has grown from networking opportunities Kerri has gained.
Business Northumberland advisor, Ian Coull, said: “We’re very proud of Kerri, she’s come a long way since we spoke to her a few months ago and has seen her dream turn into a reality.
“With the interest shown so far, we have no doubt the business will continue to flourish.”
