Today is the last chance for businesses across Northumberland to enter this year’s annual business awards.
The awards, which are now in their sixth year, have a series of different categories including best business start-up, training award, employer of the year, green business of the year, export award, apprenticeship ambassador, and mid-large and micro/small business of the year, split into rural and south east Northumberland.
This year there is also a new category, the Social Enterprise Award.
And today is the final chance for businesses looking to be rewarded for their achievements over the year.
Another top business from the region has added their backing to the awards.
Social housing company Bernicia will sponsor the Micro/small business of the year category.
Andrea Malcolm, operations director at Bernicia said: “As a business we have made a significant social and economic contribution in the county ourselves, through investment in our existing homes, building new homes and relocation to our new headquarters on the Ashwood Business Park, Ashington.
“In addition, we continue with our apprenticeship programme and work with our contractors and supply chains to create and sustain jobs for local people.
“Although our primary focus is on providing good quality, affordable housing we believe successful communities are about far more than bricks and mortar and provide support and investment for many initiatives in the neighbourhoods we serve, that is why we are delighted to be supporting the Northumberland Business Awards’ Micro/small Business category.”
Businesses wanting to be put forward for a chance to win one of the awards on offer have until the end of today, Thursday, October 31, to enter.
Nominations can be entered at www.nepress.co.uk/NGAZ/business-awards-2013/ or using the form below this story.
The awards ceremony will celebrate and recognise business excellent through Northumberland, and will be held on Thursday, November 14, at Linden Hall in Longhorsely, near Morpeth.
