Shoppers are being invited to have a butchers at a new store that has opened following a £140,000 investment.

Dicksons, the family pork butchers, has opened at Manor Walks shopping centre in Cramlington, featuring the full range of favourites, including delicious pies, pastries, sausages, fresh meats and a range of hot food to go.

The shop will also feature a cold sandwich counter, allowing customers to make their own from a selection of fillings.

Michael Dickson, managing director of Dicksons, said: “We are delighted to be starting 2015 with the opening of our newest shop in Cramlington.

“Following hot on the heels of the successful launch of our Whitley Bay concept store at the end of last year, Dicksons Cramlington will have a similar look and feel as Whitley Bay featuring the kind of tasty products which have proven so popular during our 60 years serving the north east.”

Creating seven new jobs, the Cramlington store will now become Dicksons’ 23rd retail outlet.

Mr Dickson added: “As our second shop opening in a matter of months, we are following through on our commitment to invest in smaller shopping centres and high streets which serve local communities.”

Manor Walks’ general manager, Bruno Coppola said: “We’re delighted to welcome such an iconic north east brand as Dicksons to Manor Walks. Its arrival to Manor Walks also marks the opening of its first Cramlington branch which has generated a great deal of excitement.

“As part of our wide range of retailers we are committed to offering our customers fresh local produce and Dicksons will be integral to this.

“Over the coming months I am looking forward to seeing Dicksons establish itself as a key player within our community at Manor Walks.”

Dicksons is open 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on a Sunday.
