Vivienne aiming to drive the business forward

A MORPETH woman is revving up her career after being given the first role of its kind at an expanding company.

Vivienne Gibbs is the first ever client development executive at Morpeth-based Gott Technical Services – and more employees could follow.

The garage equipment firm, which currently employs 19 people, has seen a 35 per cent increase in turnover last year, leading to bosses creating the new position.

Vivienne, pictured, will be responsible for extending and managing new repair service business opportunities and retain relationships with its existing service contract client base of more than 500 garages and multi-site motor retail groups.

The mother-of-three, originally from Gateshead, said: “This is a brand new role for the company so there is a lot of room for me to push it into new territories, which I am very excited about.

“Gott is already seeing expansion in areas outside of the north east like Scotland and Cumbria and the advancements in low carbon vehicle equipment technology is another growth sector I’ll be accelerating.”

Gott Technical Services director Ian Gott said: “Last year was a great year for growth, especially with new contracts we picked up from various local authorities, and the completion of Glasgow’s newest Nissan dealership.

“We want to continue driving forward this year, as such we’re looking to build new relationships with new garages all of the time, which is where Vivienne comes in.

“We plan to extend the team by also recruiting equipment field sales representatives in different parts of the UK whilst Vivienne focuses purely on the promotion of our service related products throughout the whole sales cycle, including after sales care.”
