Frank’s the Flooring Store has invested in a fleet of six new trucks as it continues to expand across the north east.

The vehicles will help make the Frank’s brand as familiar a sight on the region’s roads as it is on high streets and retail parks.

The investment follows the opening of the 25th Frank’s store in Cramlington in March this year and as preparations continue for the opening of a new shop in Consett.

Mick Copeland, the firm’s business development manager, said: “Frank’s the Flooring Store is about more than simply an in-store experience and market-leading prices – it is about the full service, from walking through the doors of the shop to speedy delivery and quality fitting.

“That’s why we are investing not only in our stores, but in this fleet of vans, which is an important part of our network.

“We have also invested in bringing in new products, such as luxury vinyl tiles and artificial grass, both of which are becoming increasingly popular, and the new vans will carry that message around the region’s roads, reinforcing our position as a one-stop-shop for all types of flooring.”

The first Frank’s store was opened in 1996 in Stockton, and the company began expanding the year after, opening two further stores before adding a warehouse distribution centre in 1998.
