Pupils at a south east Northumberland school showed they had an active approach to a store’s initiative.
The youngsters at Burnside Primary School in Cramlington came top in the Sainsbury’s Active Kids voucher scheme, held at the supermarket’s outlet in the town.
To celebrate the school’s success, staff from the Cramlington retailer called in to the school to see pupils take part in a PE lesson using equipment purchased through the voucher scheme.
Once there, the staff were able to watch the youngsters using new bean bags, balls, basketballs, a football net, hula hoops and a lot more.
A spokesperson for Sainsbury’s said it was great to see the children enjoying the equipment.
