SOME very special guests visited Cramlington this week to open a new supermarket.

Pride of Northumberland award winners Rachel Skene and Dan Long with son Jak Skene, from Blyth, cut the ribbon on the Morrisons store on Monday.

The new store, at the Brockwell Centre, is the supermarket giant’s 460th in the country.

General manager David Gray said: “Over the past few weeks, the team have been working night and day to ensure that customers enjoy shopping, Morrisons style, from day one.

“Opening the doors and welcoming the shoppers of Cramlington is be the reward for all the training and preparation.”
