DANCING on Ice star Denise Welch has been offered a bit of hot stuff from her native north east – a sleepsuit made in Ashington.
The town’s All-in-One Company has made suits for the former Whitley Bay schoolgirl and her fellow celebrities on the ITV1 show to keep them warm in between their stints on the ice.
This latest order follows requests from the makers of Celebrity Big Brother and The X Factor for suits for the likes of Cheryl Cole and Vinnie Jones.
Kate said: “We are always happy to help, but I think the skating celebrities in particular deserve a bit of warmth and comfort.
“Most of us would give singing or dancing a go, but ice-skating is a totally different matter.”
The Dancing on Ice order takes the number of suits made by the All-in-One Company to more than 15,000 in the last two years.

“Because of the range of all-in-one suits we make, we have material of every colour and pattern imaginable. Schools and groups who have received our offcuts have put them to very good use. “It’s also a way of saying thank you to our local customers who have been so supportive of The All-in-One Company,” she said.
