A day centre that provides recreational activities and respite care for people across south east Northumberland has received a cash donation.

Lynemouth Day Centre has been given £4,000 from Lynemouth Power Ltd to cover the cost of three new wheelchairs and for maintenance to the centre’s fleet of mini-buses.

Vikki Thompson, business manager at the day centre, said: “This wonderfully kind donation will help keep our fleet of mini-buses on the road and the new wheelchairs will mean we can safely transport clients from their home to the bus to the centre and back again.”

Vaun Campbell, works director at Lynemouth Power Ltd, added: “I’m delighted we’ve been able to support their fantastic work.”
