A CHARITY fundraising event is being held in memory of a popular music fan who died last year.
Friends of Mick Jackson are gathering to host a special gig on Friday, April 22, to raise funds for two charities and remember their well-loved friend.
The event, at the Fell-Em-Doon in Ashington, will consist of three live bands – The Poorboys, HED and All Shine No Shoes.
The event is being held in aid of the British Heart Foundation and British Tinnitus Association.
Mick was a prominent follower of the local music scene and passed away suddenly last year at the age of 50.
One of the event organisers Reg Warnes said: “Please come along and give your support to this local event whether you knew Mick or not and have a good start to your Easter weekend.”
All bands are donating their time for free with all proceeds from the event going to the two charities.
Tickets cost £5 and are available from the Fell-Em-Doon, High Market, Ashington, or by contacting (01670) 814166.
