May I, once again, express my most grateful thanks to Mr and Mrs Herron and the patrons at The Keel Row for the generous donation of £437 to Blyth Star Enterprises.
Over the past 18 months they have raised approximately £2,000 for our charity, and I can confirm that this has all been used to benefit people with long-term mental health problems and/or learning disabilities.
It is so encouraging that a local business, such as this, is committed to helping a local charity.
It is often difficult for smaller, less glamorous charities, such as ours, to attract funding, and this continued support is really appreciated.
It is also important to recognise the openness they have shown to Blyth Star Enterprises by supporting us in charity events and bar sponsorship.
This not only helps us financially, but raises the profile of the organisation and involves our clients in their local community.
I am aware of how much work The Keel Row does for charitable causes and the awards it has received for its continued commitment.
I do feel this should be recognised in some manner so I have forwarded a copy of this letter to Blyth Valley MP Ronnie Campbell.
Once again thanks for the continued support and have a wonderful Christmas. (I have avoided using “Christmas break” as I know how busy it is going to be).
