YOUNGSTERS got on their bikes for a challenge while also being given tips on how to look after their cycles.
Pupils at Seaton Delaval Community First School were joined by members of their families as they took part in a sponsored bike ride.
The event had been organised by CVA Blyth Valley (Community Voluntary Action) and Sustrans, who had been working with the children on preparing for the event.
The group cycled from the school, through Seaton Delaval and into Seaton Delaval Hall as part of the National Trust’s ‘Halls Cycle Fest’.
Sustrans, which is working with pupils in some of the schools in the Seaton Valley area, explained to the young bikers how they must do a bike check before they started.
Each child who took part in the event received a certificate as well as a small goodie bag.
Seaton Delaval Hall then gave free entry to everyone who came with a bike.
