A WOMEN’S club in Morpeth has raised more than £800 for charity.
The Morpeth and District Soroptimists held their summer supper at Kirkley Hall, Ponteland, in aid of Teardrop.
The charity, based at Ashington’s Wansbeck General Hospital, supports bereaved parents and families who have suffered a miscarriage, still birth or neonatal death.
Club president Susan Guillain said: “I would like to thank everyone involved who helped to make the evening such a success.
“Teardrop undertakes a very valuable role and I am pleased that we are able to raise awareness of the work they do and raise important funds.”
