LEAFLETS with information about local crime statistics will be landing on doormats throughout Northumberland this week.
The smaller easy-to-keep guides, which are jointly produced by Northumbria Police Authority and Northumbria Police, will also contain news and contact details for local neighbourhood policing teams.
Chairman of the Northumbria Police Authority, Mick Henry, said: “It’s important that every local resident knows how Northumbria Police has performed over the previous 12 months, and that crime and anti-social behaviour in the force area continues to fall.
“It’s also important that we achieve value for money, especially when times are tough.
“The new police leaflets provide all the information people value, but in a smaller, cheaper format.”
