TWO teenagers girls charged with murdering a Blyth man have appeared in court.
Eighteen-year-old Megan Hope, of Rosalind Street in Blyth, and a 16-year-old who can not be named for legal reasons, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court Thursday morning.
The pair face charges of murdering 24-year-old Christopher John Chapman, who was stabbed to death in the early hours of Tuesday, April 19, in Cowpen Road.
The two girls will be brought before Newcastle Crown Court on Wednesday, April 27.
Hope has been remanded in custody while the youth has been remanded into the care of the local authority with a security requirement.
Mr Chapman was found bleeding from an injury to his torso and was pronounced dead at Wansbeck General Hospital.
