Youngsters are being invited to put on their dancing shoes and shake their tail feathers this week at a county shopping centre.

On Friday, August 21, from 11am until 2pm, local dance academy Bad Apples North East, is giving budding performers the opportunity to take part in a free dance workshop at Blyth’s Keel Row Shoppign Centre, that will teach them a range of new moves including street dance, hula hooping and rolla bolla.

Choreographed by professional dancers, the workshop will be led by Bad Apples’ instructors. Participants will also have the chance to get their faces painted in a range of groovy styles, in exchange for a small donation to children’s charity, Cash for Kids.

Centre Manager, Callum Reid, said: “This summer we wanted to create a full program of free events which would appeal to children of all ages. Our dance workshop is our fourth event and will teach a wide range of impressive skills in an exciting way.”
