TWO animal lovers have undertaken a 100-mile fundraising bike ride dressed in fluffy dog suits.

Susan Walton, 57, and pal Denise Scott, 54, set off to support Bedlington-based charity PAWS (People’s Animal Welfare Service).

The pair cycled a circular route from Chevington Moor, near Morpeth, to Seahouses, calling at Bedlington on the way.

As Susan suffers from fibromyalgia, this was a gruelling challenge.

She said: “PAWS is close to our hearts and we have helped raise money for them for a year now by doing different events.

“They need all the help they can get to continue the excellent job they do in helping sick animals.”

The duo were made to look the part as they donned full body suits, made by Ashington’s All-in-One company.

Denise added: “Kate from the All-in-One company kindly donated our doggie suits to wear at our fundraising events and Sarah Bickerton from Curves has been a great help by holding different events for PAWS.”
