The founder and creative director of a Northumberland based business has scooped two top awards.
Cramlington based Bazaar Group Jayne Dolder scooped two awards at the North East Women into the Network Awards on Friday night, including the top accolade.
Both the Creative Business Award and the flagship award, the Susan Dobson Award for Entrepreneurship, were awarded to Jayne Dolder, who had entered the regional entrepreneurial awards for the first time.
The Bazaar Group grew out of a hobby, when Jayne was hand-sewing and selling bean bags from her garage at home ten years ago.
From starting out as a one-woman band operation, the Bazaar Group is now a specialist in design, manufacture and retail of soft furnishings that employs over 40 people.
Bazaar Group founder and creative director Jayne, said: “Mark and I have a great team behind us; everyone from our incredible senior management team to our hard working operational team are people that we are very proud to work with.
“This awards process has been fantastic at helping us reflect on what we have achieved as a team and the awards win will give us the motivation to continue on with our ambitious future plans.
“From doing everything alone, working 17 hour days in a garage, we are now in a state of the art premises and are able to recruit the best commercial talent in the UK. I’m so proud to have won the two awards and be part of this important event.”
