Students from Astley Community High School made some special deliveries over the Easter weekend.
Year 9 enrichment pupils were on hand to deliver more than 400 Easter eggs to children in hospitals across the region.
Students ran a creative poster campaign and a non-uniform day during spring term asking for Easter egg donations from students and staff. Hospitals receiving the eggs included the Freeman Hospital, the Royal Victoria Infirmary, North Tyneside General and St Oswald’s Hospice.
Mrs Scott, cover supervisor at Astley, who leads the enrichment group, said: “It’s important to give something back and hopefully the work of our students will help bring happiness to the children.”
