Building work is gathering pace to deliver a state-of-the-art learning centre.
Construction work has been under way on the new Bedlingtonshire Community High School (BCHS) facility since March.
And now members of the school’s senior leadership team and chairman of governors have been to visit the site to see the progress first-hand.
Assistant headteacher Jamie Bell, who praised the work of deputy head Ron Hinshaw on the project, said: “This is a very exciting time for BCHS and being able to stand on the first floor of the new build gave us a real sense of how close we are to moving in.
“We are sure it is a move our students will benefit greatly from.”
The move is due in 2016.
