STUDENTS and staff at Ashington High School have selected their new Post 16 Student Leadership Team for the current academic year.
The successful Year 13 students will be ambassadors for the school as well as representing their peers and working with staff.
The new student leaders are head boy Elliot Stephens, head girl Faye Kankowski, deputy head boys Tom Stokoe, Adam Raine and Scott Mordue, and deputy head girls Rachel Arkley and Jade Robinson.
Jenny Trapp, head of sixth form, said: “We’re genuinely looking forward to the year ahead with our new student leaders.
“They’ve formed an energetic leadership team already and are full of innovative ideas.
“They are definitely go-getters and I envisage a bright future for all of them.”
