A SCHOOL has been rewarded for its efforts to curb bullying by collecting a national award.

Shanklea Primary School in Cramlington has been named an accredited anti-bullying school after pupils, staff, parents and governors worked together to stamp out bullying.

In its bid, led by teacher Sharon Hagan, the school had to submit an extensive portfolio of its anti-bullying procedures and practices.
