An open evening has been held for high school newbies – but it was parents, not pupils who were invited along.
Bedlingtonshire Community High School (BCHS) held the event as part of its pastoral care system and leading parent partnership work.
The aim of the evening was to welcome parents of new pupils.
They were given the opportunity to look at results and hear about developments, as well as speak to their child’s form teacher.
Assistant head teacher Jamie Bell, who organised the information evening, said: “It is an exciting time to be a student at BCHS, with the record results and new build. However, events like this are also key as they are all about our main priority, the students.”
