Students celebrate GCSE success

ASHINGTON High School students Caitlin Morris and Jack Davenport are celebrating after receiving top marks in their GCSE results.

Caitlin achieved an A* in English Language and Additional Science and A in English Literature, Geography and History, a B in Religious Studies and a C in French.

She said: “I feel ecstatic. The results are much better than I expected, my family and friends are really pleased for me.”

Caitlin is looking forward to carrying on her studies in sixth form where she will take English Language, English Literature, IT and Geography.

Jack, 16, gained an A in Product Design, Geography and Additional Science, a B in English Language, English Literature and Religious Studies as well as a Distinction Star in Performing Arts and IT.

He said: “I have not really been nervous but this morning as I was walking to school I could not have been more frightened, but I am really happy with what I have got.”

Jack will be studying Geography, Chemistry and performing Arts in Sixth Form.
