EUROPE: We must leave ‘club’

I would like to thank Chrisopher Dorman-O’Gowan for his letter regarding his views on calling time and leaving the EU, (News Post Leader, January 21).

I remember in the 1975 referendum that I did not want to join in the first place and my views have been proved correct.

There are many things we are not allowed to do because they are against European Union rules.

Our own rules should apply, but unless we leave, we cannot do so many things.

And think of all the money we give – £350million per week, not to mention an extra £1.7billion a year.

This is an outrage, just for the ‘privilege’ of being in this ‘club’.

We must leave.
