An exhibition celebrating the Women’s Insititute has been extended until November.
The centenary celebration of the Women’s Institute was recognised by the Newbiggin branch with an exhibition in Woodhorn Church.
The President of the branch Eileen Turney said: “Our members were so pleased with the numbers of people who came to see images and records of the activities that have taken place over the years.
“The exhibition emphasises the importance the WI has had on the lives of generations of women who have worked together in constructive friendship.”
The exhibition is open every Saturday and Sunday up to November 1 between noon and 4pm.
