Members of a Blyth club donned their best fancy dress attire to raise funds for an animal rescue charity.

The Blyth and District Gateway Club presented a cheque for £536.40 to the People’s Animal Rescue and Re-homing Team (PARRT), which works in the Northumberland, Newcastle and Tyne and Wear areas to help care for and rehome cats, dogs and other animals.

Dog coordinator Margaret Gray accepted the cheque on the charity’s behalf.

Margaret said: “We would like to say a huge thank-you to all to the volunteers and club members.”
