A little bundle of joy was the perfect start to 2015 for one family in south east Northumberland.
Kerry Baxter, from Ashington, gave birth to baby Finn Joseph Baxter on New Year’s Day at Wansbeck General Hospital.
Finn was born two days late when he arrived at 8.33am on Thursday, January 1, weighing 9lbs and 1oz.
Kerry, 35, who already has five-year-old daughter Lily, said: “I wasn’t expecting him on New Year’s Day as he was two days overdue.
“He is doing absolutely great and we are all at home now.
“I completely forgot it was New Year’s Day when I had him.
“It was lovely because it will give an extra special reason to celebrate each year.”
