An amateur theatre group is hoping to get even more bums on seats for its shows after taking delivery of new chairs.
The Seaton Delaval Pantomime Society has bought 80 foldable chairs and two modern storage racks after receiving £2,800 from First Class Supply teaching agency.
The group, based at Seaton Delaval Arts Centre, produces a summer musical and Christmas pantomime each year, as well as other events.
Young and old alike can take part in productions, both behind the scenes and on stage.
The former chairs were donated second-hand in 2007 and were in dire need of replacement, so First Class Supply, which had previously bought-out a pantomime performance and given the tickets to schools, offered the funding.
Agency director Steph Boulton said: “We are delighted to be able to support the Seaton Delaval Pantomime Society again.”
The Whitley-Bay based agency works in schools across Northumberland.
