Creepy crawlies and spooky snacks can be found at Northumberland College’s Ashington campus this weekend.

The centre will play host to a variety of Halloween events, including party games.

Make-up students will be offering face-painting, using the experience to develop skills for careers in film, fashion, photography and television.

And courtesy of the college’s Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens, there will be the chance to handle millipedes, snakes, lizards, snails and spiders.

Meanwhile, the Kids’ Cookery Club is baking a batch of ‘snakes in slime pools’ and other ghoulish goodies.

The fun takes place at the College Road campus on Saturday, from 10am to noon.
