A businesswoman from south east Northumberland has set up a new venture that helps raise cash for charity.

Helen Cunningham, from Ashington, has launched the PCS (Professional Charity Services) Charity Fuel Card, that takes the combined fuel purchases of all its users and pays a minimum of 1.75p per litre to the chosen charity of the business or organisation.

Helen said: “It’s a great way for businesses to cut their costs, due to the weekly, fixed preferential rates, offered by the fuel providers participating in the scheme, namely Shell, Esso, Texaco, Total, Gulf, Gleaner, Topaz and Manx.

“The added bonus is that by using our fundraising fuel card, regular donations are automatically made to their chosen charity.”

Anyone interested in the Charity Fuel Card scheme can apply at www.charityfuelcard.com or contact Helen Cunningham 07788 417943.
