A CHARITY is aiming to get into the swing of things by teeing off for its first ever golf fundraiser.
Age UK Northumberland is hosting its inaugural Charity Golf Challenge next month.
Funds raised at the event will be used to support the charity’s wide range of services.
These include enhancing the life for vulnerable, isolated and often lonely older people.
Golfers can enter a team of four for £250, which includes a bacon roll on arrival, 18 holes of golf, a two-course meal, plus the chance to win a variety of prizes on the day.
Businesses are being offered the chance to sponsor a hole for £30, be the headline sponsor for £750 or sponsor either of the on-course challenges of nearest the pin and longest drive for £35.
The competition is being held at the Macdonald Linden Golf and Country Club course near Longhorsley on Thursday, September 20.
Catrina Flynn, Age UK’s fundraising manager in Northumberland, said: “We are really excited to be holding our first ever Charity Golf Challenge.
“Everyone who takes part will have a really fun day in these beautiful surroundings, and will also be showing that they care about the older people of Northumberland.”
