On behalf of everyone involved in our fundraising effort held at Ashington Asda on Saturday, September 20, for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, can I thank the generous people of Ashington for supporting us.
Between us we completed the challenge and cycled 452 miles on the static bikes, kindly loaned to us by Mark Breeze of Breeze2fitness, Amble.
This effort took each of us five hours and 15 minutes, and in total 16,777 calories were burned, with the bike pedals spinning a total of 110,051 times.
The most impressive statistic was the fact that we raised £1,183.48 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
And on behalf of the ‘Toontotown’ group I would like to thank everyone who donated and gave us support.
We would like to thank the staff at Asda in Ashington for their support on the day and to Andrea Dunning, the community life champion, for her efforts in organising this.
