A fundraising page has been set up after a dog went missing in Northumberland – and was found trapped between a shed and a wall.

Dog lover Rebekah Cawthorne set up the Just Giving page after seeing the story of missing Bonnie, from Bedlington on social networking site, Facebook.

The black labrador went missing last week, and was finally found 11 nighs later trapped between an old shed and wall.

Bex said: “I really wanted to help after seeing all the Facebook posts and shares. It’s so sad to hear bad news at this time of year but hopefully Bonnie will be on the mend soon.

“The Just Giving page was just a little something to help out with the costs of Bonnie’s injuries.

“It is still running until January 18, but we hit the £500 original target by Monday lunchtime, less than 24 hours after setting up the page.

“The people who have donated are so generous, I really was so surprised watching the total continue to increase throughout Sunday night and Monday Morning.

“I wish Bonnie a very speedy recovery.”
