A FUNERAL director from Northumberland has been awarded Honorary Life Membership of the Society of Bereavement Practitioners.

Keith MacDonald, who works at John Grenfell & Son, which operates out of Ashington, Bedlington and Blyth, has had his dedication to the care and support of his clients recognised as outstanding by the society.

SBP director, Rev George Callander said: “Keith was nominated by colleagues for this award and we are delighted to welcome him on board. He is exactly the type of professional who we seek to recognise through the award of Honorary Membership.”

Keith has also been recognised with a Sports Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of the many years of training he has devoted to youth boxing.

Keith said: “It was both an honour and a privilege to have been nominated to receive the award.”
