Families are being sought to provide a place to stay for children suffering the effects of the Chernobyl nuclear incident.
Morpeth and Wansbeck Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline Link needs families willing to provide a room and food for a child in June.
The project brings up to ten children from Belarus or Ukraine to the region each year, who have immune system problems associated with the Chernobyl disaster.
The visit will take place from June 2 to June 30.
Families would host two children for two or four weeks, providing a bedroom and food, and they must undergo a CRB check.
