A group of teenagers have taken part in a sponsored swim to raise cash for charity.
The 15 youngsters swam in the Swim For Your Life event in aid of Marie Curie Cancer.
It was organised by Northumberland Youth Service at Astley Community High School’s pool.
Three teams of swimmers aged between 13 and 17 took part in the event, which each team completing 1.5km.
Dean Jackson, commissioner for curriculum and learning at Northumberland County Council, said: “The idea for the swim came from a young person, and our youth workers have supported them to make it happen.
“We think this is a great way to bring young people of different ages and from different areas together.”
