Hair cuts help to raise £1,326

IN order to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, Michael Preece and Karl Mason, both short hair lovers, after the usual arguments in the pub, this time about who could last the longest without getting their hair cut, decided to have a sponsored ‘growathon’.

After months of hair straightening they agreed to call it a day and call in the shearer.

On the final night we had some brilliant musical entertainment – quizzes, raffles, auctions and donations. In total we raised £1,326.

Our thanks to everyone involved, including Steve and Mick (masters of ceremonies), Ashington Rotary Club and Gundog Brewery.

Special thanks to George, Zac, Peter and last but not least The Klassix, who had everyone rockin’ in the aisles.
