A charitable organisation is once again running their Giving Tree to give Christmas presents to children who would otherwise not receive any.
As part of Morpeth Lions Club’s Christmas activities, they will be in Morpeth Town Square on Saturday, November 29, to allow anyone who wants to donate any gifts to do so.
Visitors to the Giving Tree will take an envelope, which will say boy or girl with an age and return an appropriate gift a month later. This is to help match the gifts with a child and to ensure all age ranges are catered for.
The gifts can be new or nearly new and the Lions are happy to accept donations that do not have an envelope attached.
The gifts will then be sent out to reach the recipients on Christmas Eve.
