Veterans came together to remember lost friends and colleagues at a special service.
Members of the Submariners Association held their Remembrance Service at the Submariners Memorial in Blyth on Sunday, November 1, to honour those who had served in the Submariners Service.
It was part of a national event organised by the Association on the Sunday before Remembrance Sunday.
Among those in attendance were Lord Ridley, Deputy Lord Lieutenant, and veterans.
The were also joined in the minute’s silence by family and members of the public.
Blyth became a submarine base prior to the First World War and continued through both world wars until the late 1950s.
