A topping out ceremony has taken place to mark the completed structural building work on a new housing development in Blyth.

The ceremony on Wednesday celebrated the completion of the highest point of the buildings ‘structure at Nordale Way, which will be available for occupation from this Christmas.

Arch Homes has completed the work on three houses and six new apartments, which range from two and three-bedroom houses to one-bedroom apartments.

The new builds are located between Blyth town centre and the Northumberland countryside, and are all decorated and carpeted throughout and are located within easy walking distance of all local amenities.

Dave Ledger, Arch chairman and deputy leader of Northumberland County Council, said: “We are delighted to have completed Arch’s new housing development on time, and to a very high standard.

“This marks our continued investment in Blyth.

“With a central location, the site is ideally positioned.

“We need a lot more homes to rent and buy in Northumberland where the need for quality, rented properties is currently exceeding the current market supply.”

The new Nordale Way development will be available for occupation from the end of the year and Arch Homes is taking reservations now.
