I COUNTED on Wednesday, April 27, ten huge container wagons belonging to Sita going into the Seghill tip. All were from elsewhere.
The last time this was raised I believe the rubbish was quoted as coming from Newcastle/Gateshead area.
How much longer has this got to continue? How much more can the Seghill land absorb?
Surely saturation point has, or is shortly being reached. The stink and the flies and seepage through the ground just goes on and on.
How much longer must local residents put up with it?
Local councillors, county councillors, MPs and MEPs take note, this festering sore has been with us for years and years and years. Enough is enough. At the very least, insist that other people’s excess waste is no longer dumped here.
