In reply to Revell Cornell Snr’s letter, I heartily agree that Blyth is a brilliant example of how badly councils can get it wrong.
Investment in some areas, and nothing in others. Almost robbing Peter to pay Paul.
I don’t live in Blyth, but it’s not exclusive in this respect.
All over the county we see the same or similar things happening.
Having said that, I do think that the new hotel and the Tall Ships are a step in the right direction.
I do hope it brings the extra revenue that is forecast.
As for the social berths, I would have thought there was plenty of room in the marina, by Ridley Park.
When I cycle there, there always seems as if there’s plenty of space.
