A TALENTED florist is celebrating after her eye-catching creation impressed judges at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show.
Katie-Jane Pridmore, owner of the Flower Cabin in Seaton Delaval, picked up a silver medal for her Diamond Jubilee inspired chandelier and was ranked among the top eighth in the competition.
The 22-year-old was the North East’s representative in the final of the British Florists’ Association Young Florist of the Year contest, which was visited by the Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall earlier this month.
The former Seaton Burn College student, of Hazelrigg in Newcastle, said: “I am very happy with the outcome especially as it was my first competition.
“I had quite tough competition so I am very proud of myself.”
Katie-Jane’s chandelier will be on display at the shop in Avenue Crescent until Saturday.
